Visiting our old haunts

Last weekend we were lucky enough to make a short appearance in Utah.  It was super fun! Of course we had to hit up some of our fav places.

Thanksgiving Point Dino Museum

Thanksgiving Point Farm Country

We've been trying for years to get Lily to ride the horses. Usually she screams. Not this time!!

She laughed her head off the whole time...so cute!

It was so nice of the Blakes to have us out. What a blast!

Turkey Day '10

This year we loved getting to stay home and host our first Thanksgiving and have family come to us! I cooked the turkey (shocker, I know!), cranberry sauce and a pumpkin bread pudding (not pictured, unfortunately) and Dave did the rest.

Here's the spread (sorry the pics are so blurry) All I have to say is...YUM!!

A visit from the Blakes

The Blakes made a little visit to our fine city! Even though it was a short stay it was great to have them here!

The Sea Lions

One Saturday morning we did a quick trip over to Pier 39 to show Lily the sea lions. She thought they were pretty cool...for about 3 mins. It was a short trip! Also, we might have stopped for crepes...yum!

Blessing Day

We blessed Charlie on Sunday. It was certainly a day to remember.  First, apparently I gave my entire extended family the wrong address for the church. (We moved buildings a few months ago and the church website must not have changed yet.)  So everyone missed it. Then, Lily threw up all over a few minutes before we were supposed to be at the church so we were late and almost missed it too!  And Lily spent the rest of the day throwing up.

BUT Dave gave a beautiful blessing, Charlie was a doll, my family were all really good sports about missing the blessing and we had a blast at the luncheon. So we'll go ahead and count the day a success!

Hunting for Easter Eggs!

Between Conference sessions on Saturday we went over to my mom's house and had a little Easter Egg hunt for Lil. A blast!

Her haul...including some new bows that she didn't want to wait to wear!

Mmmm...candy!

For your viewing pleasure...(or maybe just mine!)

A Birthday--Mine!

Wednesday was my big quarter century Bday. I wasn't expecting much out of the day since our trip to Greece was my present but my Dad came and stayed with us and made it a really great day!
(Flowers and pregnancy pilates from Dave)
My Dad and Debbie were amazingly generous with me (as usual) and gave me a double bike trailer so I can pull both my kiddos! It also has attachments to make it a double jogging stroller! And to top it off they also gave me a bike trainer so I can ride inside for the rest of the winter!!

(Lily loves her new bike)

We also picked up a few of these delicious babies!

(This was probably my fav: Strawberry cheesecake!)
(The candles: 11001 = 25 in binary. Anyone who knows my dad will get it.)

And with a fun lunch with my mom at Dear Lizzy, it turned out to be a really fun day!

Greece/NYC (part 6)

I don't have any pictures of our last day in Greece. We spent the morning working on Dave's Harvard essays, then hit up a big shopping center near the hotel.

On our way home, we had a layover in New York so we extended our stay so we could visit Dave's sister and her family and spend some time in the city for a few days. I only took these two (awful) pictures with my phone. They are from our visit to the Statue of Liberty. We also hit up a Broadway show called In the Heights--very fun. We also went to Mesa Grill--that's one of Bobby Flay's restaurants for anyone who watches Food Network--and he was there hanging out and cooking in the kitchen! That might have been our favorite part!

It was a great trip even though it was wicked hard to leave Lily for so long. And maybe some day I'll get to take a trip when I'm not ginormous and pregnant for all the pictures! ;)

Uncle Geg

Lily loves her Uncle "Geg" and I'm pretty sure he's a bit taken with her as well! They like to do lots of stuff together but I think their favorite is making music together:

Christmas

Christmas was such a blast. It was definitely a crazy whirlwind of a weekend. We had all sorts of family in town so it was great to get to spend good quality time with everyone! It also meant driving all over the place-back and forth and back and forth...anyway, on to pics!

(Christmas Eve PJs for Lily)
(Lots of books)

(Lots of chocolate and jewels)

(A new pet)

(Mommy gear--Lil is the best mommy!)

There was lots more, I just don't have pictures of anything else.

The other big news is that Dave and I are leaving for Athens, Greece on Wednesday (that's our gift to each other). If any of you have been there we'd LOVE some travel advice!! I'm super stoked but also super nervous to leave Lily for so long--I've never left her for more than 2 days. In reality I'll probably be the one that has the hardest time with it, Lily gets to stay with both grandmas so she'll probably love every minute of it!

Anyway, that's Christmas 2009 in a nutshell.
