Where's Batman when you really need him??

Last night Dave and I met up with some friends to see The Dark Knight at the American Fork theater. After spending two and a half hours watching Batman kick the trash out of a whole city's worth of criminals making Gotham a safer place to be, we headed out to our car only to find the passanger side window knocked out and my diaper bag gone. Apparently a few other cars in the lot were also hit at the theater last night.

Unfortunately for the poor thief my diaper bag has almost nothing of any value in it. Let's see...a changing pad, 1 diaper, a few wipes, hand sanitizer, cuticle cutters, my two favorite lip glosses, credit cards (which were promptly cancelled), small container of formula complete with measuring scoop, my favorite pen, and most definitely NO cash. One thing that doesn't have any real resale value but I suppose the thief could use himself is my camera. It is very old and we have been complaining about our need for a new one for a long time now. The only real tragedy is the loss of the pictures that were on the camera's memory card. But luckily I have already blogged the cutest of the pictures that were on that camera so most of our memories are not lost.

Side Note: Dave and I find it rather ironic that we lasted a whole year living in Irving about a block away from some of the scummiest parts of town without any such incidents and we're only here in Happy Valley for a week before we're hit!

That stinks! Super cute bag too! This happened to my friend once at the preschool while she was picking up her kids but they got her purse! I'm just glad you are ok and nothing too valuable was taken.

I had my car broken into once too. We lived downtown (SLC) while we were going to school, and our car was parked in our Condo's car port. They broke the passenger side window too, and they tried to steal my stereo, but didn't, they just really messed up my console. It feels very violating, huh! Then another time (earlier than the last one), we were moving into Student Housing, and we stopped moving stuff in our apartment to eat, and we went outside and both of our snowboards had been stolen off the top of our car. Crime is pretty high near @ at the U, but I'm still a fan!! I'm sorry this happened to you guys! PS. I think Dave should have kept the mohawk!

Dang, that stinks. Does this mean you are coming back to Irving? ;)

Wow, that's awful even though they didn't really take anything. Seriously, I think you better come back! ;)

That stinks about being robbed. Nothing is more frustrating than that feeling. Nice welcome to Utah I guess.
